America has been cooked since the vietnam war and the massive debt we accrued during it causing other nations to cash in their usd reserves for gold due to depleted faith in the us dollar and the idea that we did not have enough gold to cover the debt, then nixon ended the gold standard to stop the hemorrhaging pf the gold reserves and the us scrambled for 8 years to ensure the usd would remain as the global reserve currency ultimately making a shady deal with the saudi royals and opec to make it so that crude oil could only be purchased in USD which slowed down / temporarily postponed the hyper inflation that resulted from taking the usd off a gold standard and turning it into a worthless “trust me bro” fiat currency
