Now that you mention it, I do recall the performance on these drives was supposed to be just absolute crap, but it was a massive innovation before chip storage came out. And some day the next big thing will be released and we’ll wonder how we put up with SSD drives.
Yeah I had a camera back in the day that had one of these. I thought it was the shit.
No we have 1.5 TB MicroSD … which is 4600 of those 340mb drives…. this makes my brain hurt. And that camera is only about 20 years old.
