Do online communities count as support groups? I hope so, especially for trans people who are often shunned by their direct surroundings.

We can be your online support group. But what proof do you need to give the doctor? Do they need to meet your friends/see photos of you with them? Or is just telling the doctor about them enough?
I don’t need any proof, just saying is fine
So just mention a few friends on here and just don’t mention they’re online.
Just lie. This applies to a lot of stuff like this. Dumb rules that shouldnt exist. Lie to bypass them.

There might be a mutual aid network near where you live. Getting someone to pretend to be your friend might be possible (though I have little experience with such groups). Since it seems difficult to prove that someone isn’t your friend, it might be possible to just get your acquaintances to vouch for you.
