Well that doesn’t work.
I call it first order thinking. “Prices are too high? Make it illegal for prices to be too high!”
Even though it just means you’re creating black markets so now you have rising prices, shortages, AND an empowered criminal element. They don’t think that far, so they think they just did something for people.
