In a podcast appearance today, a former aid to Barack Obama questioned the Democratic party’s loyalty to former New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who resigned in disgrace amid sexual harrassment allegations in 2021. The race has come down to a close competition between the former governor and Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic socialist and current state assembly member.
Classic Democratic establishment stuff. Chef’s kiss!
At this point, I wouldn’t expect anything else.
Cuomo is a corrupt neoliberal establishment hack and Mamdani is a sincere leftist populist. And the Democratic leadership has made it clear again and again that they will choose the former over the latter every single time.
At this point, the Democrats barely even count as a political party. They’re more like a multi-level marketing scheme.
They will never surrender an ounce of their corruption to fight fascism.
It’s insane because NOT ENOUGH Billionaires like Him! We need to Cut MORE Taxes for Rich people and Straddle Working People with Debt and Jail to WIN back all those Voters who voted for the SOCIALIST!
