Wow look at all the pro-life outrage …
( crickets)
#ACAB always and forever.
ACAB. Publish their names. Give em life in prison without parole. Sue them in civil court and bankrupt their grandchildren’s grandchildren paying the family back for the life they stole.
I would like to think I probably wouldn’t have shot at the woman, although I’m not sure what I would do if I had a gun in my hand and was threatened to be run over. The woman broke a bunch of laws and didn’t comply (as far as we hear from the police side of things) which was stupid but it should never have ended with her getting shot. No one should get shot unless you are actually in danger from them and honestly. They probably didn’t get enough training for the situation and panicked. It’s a sad story.
If the threat of being run over is your justification, then why stand in front of the car in the first place? Is it really worth your life or someone else’s to defend the monetary value of a bag of Lay’s potato chips? That’s some bootlicker nonsense right there. Nothing in a grocery store is worth killing over.
Truth but it’s their jobs?
Is it? If courts have decided cops don’t have to intervene when peoples are being hurt or killed then can’t cops also choose to not intervene over potato chips?
You don’t seem like you’re enthusiastically defending the cops here, but it’s interesting that you can empathize with the cops making a bad decision because “I’m not sure what I would do if I had a gun in my hand and was threatened to be run over.” but you don’t mention that it’s also very reasonable to panic when someone is pointing a gun in your face - especially when it’s a cop and you’re a Black person in America. So, they lacked training, but she was stupid? Also, cops should not be loss prevention staff for corporations.
I’m not sure what I would do behind the wheel of a car if a gun was drawn and pointed towards me.
I’d definitely listen to the person with the gun and shit my pants.
If not cops then who? Fuck corporations and I agree it shouldn’t result in taking your gin out on someone but they were trying to do their job and did it poorly.
