I think that was a misdirection on his part; I’m pretty certain he wants to be the assaulter but that would look unsavory in the post. It’s like those creepy posts in porn sites that repetitively and even predictably say “I wish that was me” for whatever it is.
It’s always presented itself as some “saving the genre” to aging gamedads, the kind that hate “wokeness” and the like. It’s about a white-coded Roman LARPing human supremacist empire killing Orientialist-coded aliens. I think the chuddery just stacks and draws more chuddery in like a gravity well.
