Hokay, so: I’m using Connect for a long time now, and for some reason I can’t view images from certain servers, such as sh.itjust.works and programming.dev.
I can see the thumnails while scrolling, but when I tap to view (and read) the image, I get this grey placeholder image.
This only happens with those few specific servers, everything else works as intended. My connection is stable and fast. It might be my old as heck phone that’s the problem, but I hope someone might be able explain to me what’s causing this (and whether or not it can be fixed).

Are you able to access a Lemmy.world post from your web browser and does the image load?
It could be a network-related issue on your end (ie: DNS-based filtering, etc)
Images load on my PC as expected. When browsing Lemmy via Firefox on my phone I can also load and see images from those specific servers (at least sh.itjust.works the other one is down).
Specifically using Connect to view an image from those instances (currently sh.itjust.works as the other seems to be down) results in the image not loading.

The admins at programming.dev just said they were migrating to object storage. It may take all day.
no storage no image.
Didn’t know, but this problem occured ever since I first noticed that images from both named server just don’t load.
