I don’t feel like this should be surprising to anyone. The Pixel may be my favorite line of phones I’ve ever used, but I don’t think they ever even seemed to compete with the Galaxy line, much less iPhone.

NVMe vs UFS 3.1 is also pretty significant for performance. I don’t like these types of speed comparisons though.
