I would say the Frankfurt School, since Adorno tried to claim that inaction is the highest form of praxis (Predicting the existence of the terminally online? /s) and the fact that they’re most famous for talking about popular culture (“the culture industry”).

    I wouldn’t say that, it’s more like “doing any form of praxis will lead us to nazism” which is pretty much rooted in the idea that westerners are too brainwashed to do any kind of revolution so reaction will always takeover

    At least that’s my understanding of the Dialectics of Enlightenment, and I will say nobody in the Frankfurt-School-I-am-very-smart crowd actually read it
