    Not everywhere, Joe, not everywhere. Texas is still well and truly red, much to the chagrin of sane folks everywhere and despite those same folks voting blue wherever possible.

      Maybe if voters got off their ass in Texas and participated, you’d see some change. 55% of the registered voters didn’t vote in '22. That was after they fucking froze or baked to death because the power grid is fucked.

      I’ve never understood places like Texas or Alberta that always vote the same out of some sort of team like mentality.

      Why would any party, even the one you support, offer you anything if they don’t risk losing your votes? The other party has nothing to gain by helping you, and your party has nothing to lose by ignoring you.

      Democracy needs to be adversarial where the parties in power constantly fear you’ll flip on them and throw them to the wolves.
