The Lemmy base was updated to 0.18.3 on the weekend with just a couple of minutes of downtime. This version includes database efficiencies that reduced this instance’s total database size by about 60%, as well as federation efficiencies that reduce CPU overhead. A big thanks to the development team for this significant update.

In other news, a Leminal Space status page has been created at status.leminal.space to show service advisories and keep track of outages. This is hosted on an external server and should work regardless of the status of the main LS server.
