someone pointed out my bad English, though i think I’m not able to understand how I could express the same concept with better wording.

in any case, I agree that in general reading comprehension is at an all time low.

about downvotes, i take into account also multiple profiles. lemmy is “the new platform”, and I think I’ve met different profiles saying all the same thing with the same style.

Are you saying Israel is justified in killing civilians because some Hamas may be among them?

What exactly is an appropriate civilian:militant death ratio in your mind?

Absolutely not what they’re saying. They are clearly making the point that the non-Hamas people who are having to use the hospital have no real alternatives (such as hunting down Hamas members) and shouldn’t suffer the consequences of Hamas choosing to be there.

It wasn’t that hard. Some people just can’t think properly. You have write everything to make sure that stupid people understand without error because they are the masses with the power of expression unexplained.

And some of like to shit in their mouth without caring for things like votes.

The hospitals will be a bloodbath.

Somewhere between 40k-50k civilians taking shelter with Hamas preventing them from fleeing, and Israeli forces who believe there are Hamas and tunnels underneath the hospitals.

There are already reports of Hamas shooting at Gazan civilians trying to flee the hospitals. I wouldn’t put it past Hamas to just try to up the body count intentionally.

There are plenty of reports floating around on Telegram, but they are all unconfirmed and half are probably fake like most Telegram bullshit.

The only video I know of that is confirmed is this one from Al-Nusr/Rantisi.

I believe that if Israel wanted to get rid of Hamas and rescue the hostages they would have done it with minimal casualties. They’re using the Hamas are hiding amongst the people with western governments and media to make as an excuse. When they have very vocally stated their genocidal intent.

It’s incredibly dubious when they bomb literally everything. Were Hamas hiding in small fishing boats, in an equestrian center, in an olive grove, in bakeries, in UN schools? They’ve displaced 1.6 million people and according to Euro-Med human rights organisation killed 14,000 people.

And what about the Occupied West Bank are Hamas hiding there too?

None of this is legal or morally justifiable. It’s bunch of supremacist colonial settlers ethnically cleansing the land. An Israeli minister said today that Beirut is next. Bunch of racist fascists

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The largest hospital in Gaza, where up to 50,000 people are sheltering, is facing bombardment, the World Health Organization has said, as the US’s top diplomat said “far too many Palestinians have been killed” in the war.

The bombardment came as the territory’s precarious health system struggled to cope with thousands of people wounded or displaced in Israel’s war against Hamas militants.

Graphic daytime videos posted online appeared to show screaming and bloodied people, including children, in the grounds of al-Shifa hospital in the heart of Gaza City.

The Palestinian Red Cross said Israeli snipers shot at al-Quds hospital, to the south of Gaza City, and that there were violent clashes, with one person killed and 28 wounded, most of them children.

An examination of IDF operational systems indicates that a misfired projectile launched by terrorist organisations inside the Gaza Strip hit the Shifa hospital.

“With ongoing strikes and fighting nearby [Shifa], we are gravely concerned about the wellbeing of thousands of civilians there, many children among them, seeking medical care and shelter,” Human Rights Watch said online.

The original article contains 1,142 words, the summary contains 178 words. Saved 84%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Yes. Removing the ability to self defense of the jewish people is not anti semitism. It’s similar to saying that wanting to make someone weak and easy to abuse is not the same as actually wanting to do those things.

First and foremost, Israel doesn’t represent “the jewish people” as a whole.

Secondly, bombing children to starving out millions isn’t self-defence in any part of the world, except maybe in the US.

If there are terrorists in the hospital, send soldiers to the hospital itself and target them specifically, rather than flat out bombing the whole thing. Of course, I know you don’t care about this option because the lives of 100 innocent Palestinian civilians aren’t worth that of 1 Israeli soldier to you.

That is what any other sane country would do on their own. But with 2/3 of the population supporting the regime they don’t resist and instead support them. If another country has to step in then that country has a moral duty to protect the lives of its citizens.
