An interesting data point on Romero. This season remains *by far* his best in terms of discipline. It’s night and day. He deserves credit.

In fact, he’s way down the Premier League table at #172 for number of fouls committed this season – he’s on just 7.

Udogie, Deki, Biss, Porro, Sarr, Richy, and Madders are all ahead of him.

It’s a shame recency bias is a thing. He deserves a great deal of credit along with Micky for being so clean this season.

@hallenbeck @coys @spurs recency bias and the hangover from previous seasons. The kick out was stupid and/or just unintentional. The red was tough and real but it was also one that might have just been due to the nature of the situation because outside the box it might not be a red card either.

I suspect a large part of it came from growing frustration at how much the ref was letting go. He needs to not get frustrated like that, regardless. It’s just a shame that one incident led to such an unravelling. It makes the incident seem worse than it was in the grand scheme of things. A terrible ripple-effect on that one.
