I like getting pissed over Yu-Gi-Oh master duel usually, it keeps me distracted for a day ir two.
Nothing beats digging some holes in Minecraft. I can just throw on some music or a podcast or a boring movie in the background and mine and craft my heart out.
Dead Cells is a standard for me.
Snake
For me it’s Terraria. Making a new world and character always gets me hooked and interested again.
Usually Vampire Survivors or a couple of matches in Legends of Runterra.
Not so much a specific game but when I really don’t know what to play I love a good Metroidvania style game. Currently it’s Deadcells or Blasphemous or Guacamelee.
No one’s going for RuneScape? Y’all have been saved from the pixels
Runescape is that abusive ex that you play for a year then leave for 2. It’s a viscous cycle

Also swat:aftermath. But I can consistently solo insane now so I’m practicing NM. Shit’s tough, needs friends.
I often used to play ARAM in League of Legends when I was bored. Can’t do that anymore though because I don’t want to get addicted to that salty game again 😬
I feel that. I’m currently back on the ARAM kick. It’s dangerous because games are so quick that playing one more ends up consuming my day off.
I’m finding myself returning to Tetris Effect: Connected when I’m not in the mood to do or play anything else. My favourite effect mode is Purify, where you’re clearing dark blocks with every line clear. I’m still trying to beat my high score of over 300+

How’s the performance these days? I understand that it’s come a looong way since launch, but I haven’t really heard much since then.

I can always get some enjoyment out of shiny hunting in Pokemon. Doesn’t require a ton of mental energy compared to the enjoyment the collector/completionist part of my brain gets out of it. Just pop on a series or movie and pass the time hunting for a few hours.
Deep Rock Galactic. A bit of friendly comraderie from a solid community, a bit of mindless bug nuking, variable difficulty depending on your mood, and no real downsides.
Forza Horizon 4 is my go-to when i don’t know what to play and just want to have fun.
i just pick whatever car and either drive around the scottish countryside, go for a few races/events or mindlessly try to destroy as much of the environment as i can, all while listening to music i enjoy.Revisiting the Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance campaign reliably keeps me entertained for a few days.
Same with Settlers 2: 10th Anniversary edition.
