A researcher at the University of Tennessee Herbert College of Agriculture has developed a potato plant that can detect gamma radiation, providing reliable indications of harmful radiation levels without complex monitoring technologies.

That’s pretty cool, the potatoes glow green when exposed to radiation so it can be detected at a distance. I was wondering how it actually detected the radiation, but I wasn’t expecting them to glow, that’s wild.
First they detect it, then they crave it. This is how it starts.
