I just finished Dragonsbane and am about to start Tigana - though I am going back through Dragonsbane a bit. It might have my favorite prose in any fantasy - some floweriness, but not overbearing the vast majority of the time. The more fanciful prose comes out for emotional emphasis without feeling too jarring a shift from most of the text.

I really enjoyed Tigana but I’m a big Guy Gavriel Kay fan.
