I live in the burbs, so no scooters thankfully. On the odd occasion I drive towards the city, I go past the scooter limit where there are always dozens of them strewn on the ground blocking footpaths, thrown into shrubs, lying in the gutters. People just fling them and walk away. I honestly don’t know how the system can be viable, the repair or replacement costs must be huge.

The day before, I had to squeeze a car around a scooter that was parked in the middle of the road of a laneway).
And yesterday a Mercedes almost collected one when the rider blew a red light.
