I’ve been reading about both, yet I saw a lot of criticism and mixed opinions.

What do you think about them? What changes would you like to see? Do you know other promising alternatives?

Going to a PeerTube home page feels like a weird mix of Interdimensional Cable and very early YouTube.

Discoverability is almost 0 and I can’t easily find any videos that I’d like to watch, as you said. I assume most people would leave once they see what’s on the home page.

I have a peertube instance. I can’t get anyone to really care outside of the fediverse. I think peertube has a big chance to come out on top if so many new people are trying out the fediverse for the first time. getting everything to integrate properly would be a godsend.

It’s probably cause most instance owners disable global search to avoid having to moderate too much. Taking as owner of own PeerTube instance. About LBRY it’s great project I have been working with it for a long time. Thing that I liked about it is that we have actual content distribution server in opposite of PeerTube where most time video is being stored on single server.
