How many times does satire and irony posting have to backfire on us before we realize that shit only works if the person is smart enough to be in on the joke; otherwise we’re just propagandizing against ourselves.
I feel like the taylor one is fine, we should claim her as a communist icon if only to do some counter-programming to the weird freaks who look at her as a white supremacist icon.
How about we just support people who are actual leftists and not roleplay about some capitalist celebrity who doesn’t care about workers, bigotry, or the environment?
It was a good idea to make a comm where we make leftist Taylor Swift memes and things, but if it’s not being done… Then it’s just a plain old Taylor Swift comm.
