Lost reddit migrator here, how do I subscribe to a lemmy community from my kbin social account using the kbin webapp? Or am I not understanding what federation means?
I tried Jebora for Lemmy app and see communities I want to subscribe to, but if I search for them here I cannot find them.
@Futurespeed so the easy to explain way is just go three lines at top left of screen >> magazines and then search for it to subscribe for example !brisbane@aussie.zone just search without the exclamation mark.

If your account is on on kbin.social and you want to subscribe to the community foo on the lemmy instance bar.com, go to kbin.social/m/foo@bar.com
Basically a kbin magazine is logically a lemmy community in the eyes of the federation
Simalarly if you’re on lemmy.world and want to subscribe to magazine baz on kbin.social, you would go to lemmy.world/c/baz@kbin.social
