    Is it really fasting, if it includes sleeping? It’s basically just skipping breakfast (and not having brunch). Or not eating 4 hours before you go to bed. Or two hours either side.

      Sorry to poke fun, but you’re asking if sleeping counts as fasting and then missing how the traditional first meal of the day after sleeping is literally called “break fast”?

        True, I don’t even think of it that way since it’s not called that in my native language. Frokost, just means early meal.

    Intermittent fasting does help in managing weight . I have cut out sugar from diet and do intermittent fasting. My HBA1C levels have come down to 5 since. It was close to 6.1 previously. While anecdotes are not data, intermittent fasting seems like a simple way to manage pre diabetes.
