Heck, grandma and grandpa’s old cast iron kitchenware is probably still good as new. I stumbled across a YouTube channel once (I forget what it was called) with a guy who restored old cast iron items as a hobby. Through the magic of WD-40, steel wool and some elbow grease he could turn a century old lump of rust he found at the bottom of a barn into a good-as-new iron frying pan. Try that with any of that “non-stick” shit they sell today.
Yes, cast iron is 100% renewable even after a 100 years. I use my pan on a barbecue grill as well, and use it to grill some wings/steaks in the garden. Its my go to pan, and it will stay with me, even when all the aluminium shit is in the trash.
