    • Easy to clean and maintain
    • Non-stick, if seasoned and well-oiled
    • Practically indestructible, can withstand any abuse
    • Builds arm muscle like no other kitchen utensil
    • Distributes heat and cooks evenly
    • No need for iron supplements
    • No nasty hormone-disrupting chemicals released
    • Can be used with any heat source (electric, gas, coal, wood-fire)
    • Even works in ovens - perfect pan pizza every time

Nothing but cast iron in my kitchen!

      Same.

I cook with home made tallow and it keeps my pan smooth.

If I’m not cooking on my big green egg grill I’m cooking on caste iron.

If it was good enough for grandma and grandpa, its good enough for me.

Way better than the cheap aluminum/non stick shit.

I introduced iron to my GF who had bought expensive Titanium pans that did exactly the same as the iron ones but are 20x the price, and blew her mind.

Heck, grandma and grandpa’s old cast iron kitchenware is probably still good as new. I stumbled across a YouTube channel once (I forget what it was called) with a guy who restored old cast iron items as a hobby. Through the magic of WD-40, steel wool and some elbow grease he could turn a century old lump of rust he found at the bottom of a barn into a good-as-new iron frying pan. Try that with any of that “non-stick” shit they sell today.

Yes, cast iron is 100% renewable even after a 100 years. I use my pan on a barbecue grill as well, and use it to grill some wings/steaks in the garden. Its my go to pan, and it will stay with me, even when all the aluminium shit is in the trash.
