I wonder where it’ll sit on the smn -blm difficulty axis
I am hoping for some sort of sweet spot in the middle. A little fun with a tinged danger if you want it. I play Dancer and my leap button has probably gotten me killed almost as much as standing in red.
don’t let them trick you into playing group ddr on a hamster wheel just because they let you fight with gifs
Been playing a lot of FFXI recently. Once I’m done with it, I’m gonna pop in to FFXIV
I adore FFXI so freaking much! I hear it calling to me sometimes to come play it again. I cant wait to see what they do with the Shadow Lord in the new raid series planned for FFXIV tho. Did you see the art for it yet?

Yup! I felt this for decades. I finally pulled the trigger and got back into, and I’ve been loving it. The old school MMO design is really something. So frustrating but rewarding. This is kinda like my swan song with it. I want to finish off all the major content now that it’s solo-able.
Then, it’s time for a new adventure in FFXIV, which everyone says is good.
That shadow lord art is looking awesome! I don’t know anything about the story because I wanna go in blind, but it looks cool. Good to see they’re giving XI love
love me casters but unfortunately all they’re showing off is style for now, can’t tell if I’ll actually like how it plays
I am really hoping its proc based like my Dancer. Its the job I fell in love with for the simple fact it has no rotation outisde of its opener.
If I’m going fully self-indulgent I’d love a caster with ninjutsu-style combos.
Heck there are 3 jobs coming if it turns out to be that I would be excited for you! I hear ninja is really rewarding but for me its always seemed left to people with better dexterity

I had just finally committed to quitting before seeing all the announcements last night lmao. I had no idea fanfest was going on but this and the new 8man raid as well as the new cyberpunkish city look neat, unfortunately I don’t think I’m gonna come back to xiv for a very long time.
This echos what some of the oldest players I know are saying. Like one of my friends said that he let his house go and canceled his account. He has had that house since they were like a thing. I have not played anything since 6.3 and really the only reason I would go back is for FFXI content. To me it was the better game that sadly no one is willing to play.
It is what it is. Endwalker was at least the best possible place to end my xiv journey so I feel content for the most part.
