Hello Everyone!
Time for another update on our gaming progress!
I am still playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingom. About 65 hours in. Small non-spoiler update next, those who want to avoid it can move to next paragraph. I am going for the last regional quest, and have found 60+ shrines. As for exploration, have done about 1/4th of Depths and Sky Islands, and activated all Sky towers, though there’s still a lot to find.
I mentioned resuming Animal Crossing, but it didn’t went far. My wife is completely back into it, but I haven’t played it much, whenever I am on Switch I just want to play Zelda.
In non-Nintendo world, just downloaded Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, going to start playing it with my kid. Going to be our first beat 'em up together, if I am not forgetting any.
Other than that, also planning to give Monster Hunter: World another try, this time with a group of friends.
That’s all from me. What are you all up to? What are you playing?
Unsighted! I saw it on the hidden gems section of the e-shop yesterday.
I’m waiting until my wife beats BotW before diving into TotK
Just checked out Unsighted, looks pretty good, went to add it to my wishlist and it was already there 😀 I don’t even remember when I added it. How are you enjoying it?
If you are playing BOTW too, I would suggest not jumping in TotK right away, it can cause burn out, but if you weren’t playing that should be fine.
Since I finished TotK last week (got 100 hours out of the game), I decided to take a break from it for a while and instead focus on my switch backlog.
I’m about to finish a game called In Other Waters. What I initially thought would be just a chill exploration game became a really immersive narrative experience with turn of events which really caught me off guard. I’m definitely interested in more games from the developer, I heard great things about their subsequent game Citizen Sleeper.
Other than that, I started playing Blaster Master Zero 2. I played the first one last year and really enjoyed my time with it, and the sequel so far seems to be as good as the first one.
Outside of Nintendo ecosystem, I’ll also probably boot up PS5 for a few hours and try to get more trophies out of Unravel 2.
I’m still immersed in the world of TotK, squeezing in gaming sessions whenever I find a spare moment. Surprisingly, despite investing a considerable amount of time, I’m “only” 40 hours into the game.
Deaths Door for me! Almost halfway through. Finished Tunic a few weeks ago and this has been a good follow-up to that
Great couple of games. Both are on my list, would like to play them soon.
How did you like them both?
Really good. I could barely put tunic down at some points.
Prepare to die a lot in both.
ToTK, spending a lot of time not doing the main quests.
Finishing up FFVII Remake Intermission before I start FFXVI as the other game I’m juggling in the not-much free time I have had lately.
TotK is just as fun doing the main quest, as it’s not doing the main quest. Though right now I am really excited about the story and want to know more.
Good luck with FF7R-I, are you looking forward to playing the the second part coming next year?
I’m moving four hours across the country but I’ve been playing paper Mario 64 again on nso and having a blast. Basically killing time waiting for pikmin 4 !
Road Trip! Have fun!
I plan to continue playing original Metroid prime and start to play Super Mario Galaxy again.
I am also playing zelda, but been jumping back and forth between it and Pokemon snap 64
How are you enjoying both games? And how far along are you in Zelda?
Also, if you care about it, someone recently created a community for sharing “snaps” from Pokemon Snap. https://lemmy.world/c/pokemon_snap@lemmy.piperservers.net (Making a relative link doesn’t seem to be working at my end for some reason, so just shared the direct link)
Slowly collecting all the rare crops in Story of Seasons AWL. I wish I started earlier cause they make good money.
I didn’t even know there is anything like rare crop in Story of Seasons.
How are you enjoying the game?
Yeah there’s a ton it’s just really tedious if you want a lot unless you start early and use the seed maker. I’m still addicted to the game tho especially since my son is now a teenager and picking his career
Ah, okay. Got it. Thanks! Though I am not sure if you are talking about your actual son, or in-game one. 😀
Tears. I play games for a long time, so it’ll be another couple months with it.
Same here. Finished Xenoblade Chronicles in 6+ months. Though, when the game takes over a month or so, I usually add some smaller games to mix.
How far along are you? and how are you liking it?
Love it. It’s basically the same game as Breath of the wild, but the underground and sky island increase the map even more. Then the added building and fusing weapons makes it way more fun to play. I’ve finished the first three temples and am on to the last now.
Yeah, the new abilities make the game completely different.
Good luck with the last temple!
I am keeping up with TotK. Well over 100 hours but I may spend some time in Pokémon Scarlet chasing Gimmighoul and Chesnaught.
How far along are you in TotK?
And good luck with Gimmighoul and Chesnaught!
After 100 hours I’ve completed 2 of the 4 temples and gathered all the memories. Besides that I’ve just been completing shrines and doing some side quests.
Also thanks, I really want a shiny Gimmighoul.
Wow, 100 hours and just 2 temples, you are doing some real exploration.
Most of the time I end up getting lost in the world chasing a shrine or some landmark
Haha, that’s the real fun of the game.
Found this hidden gem (for me at least) “Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon” really like this game.
Have been thinking to try out other Bayonetta’s too, even thought they are different style of games.
Yeah, I don’t think it’s a hidden gem, but I haven’t seen many people play it. How are you liking the game.
I am in the opposite boat, I have played the other Bayonetta (thought only the first one) but not the Cereza and the Lost Demon.
I first tried the demo of the game. Didnt expect to like it, but found myself really enjoying the art style and specially story. Havent finished the game yet, sadly I dont have as much time to playing games as I use to.
sadly I dont have as much time to playing games as I use to.
Happens to all of us, don’t worry about it.
I’ll give the demo a try, once I have gone through Bayonetta 2 and 3. Thanks for the heads up.
Hopefully a full weekend of Baldurs Gate 3.
Have fun!
BTW You have posted on a very old thread though. Our weekly thread is pinned on the main page of community. This one is more than a month old.
About to finish 13 sentinels & got spiritfarer and both portals in queue.
Spiritfarer and Portal 1 & 2 are all great games. Have fun!
How are you liking 13 Sentinels? It’s on my wish list.
If you’re into the (primarily sci-fi) story, it’s really good. Bit confusing gameplay-wise in the beginning, but clears up quickly and them becomes confusing story-wise, which actually is kinda the point. I liked it a lot, even the battles which seem to be the part most complained about. I would however suggest picking it up on sale and not paying full price as it’s not exactly replayable.
Monster Hunter World for sure.
Nice! How far along are you? I just started it with a few friends, we are still in the start, just reached Tobi-Kadachi.
The co-op is a mess in this game, you all have to separately go on a mission, then watch cut scenes, then everyone except one needs to abandon quest, and join one person’s quest. Hope Capcom makes it simpler in next versions.
Yeah co-op story mode is annoying as fuck. The whole “wait till the cutscene” thing annoys me. My wife just started playing and doing the story with her is annoying, BUT MH also gives you extra bonuses for helping low level players so it’s actually worth it. They had good ideas and bad ones in there.
Im about a quarter of the way through iceborne main story right now. This game gets pretty addictive.
Ah, well, we are all pretty much at same level, so haven’t noticed any benefit of helping anyone else 😀
Yeah, the game is really fun, but we kind of only have one night in the week, so not sure how long we can play the game like this. It takes a lot of time.
Oh man, this game is a grind. But if you don’t get the expansion it’s not that bad for length, and doing it with friends is certainly easier.
If you decide to get the expansion it’s a lot more of a grind.
Well, we decided to do the main game first, and see if we even like it enough to continue, before deciding on whether we go for expansion or not. Let’s see how long we can keep it going.
