Experts are stumped as to why colorectal cancer is rising dramatically among people in their 30s and 40s.

Colorectal cancer is the deadliest cancer for men under age 50 — and the second deadliest cancer among women in the same age group, behind breast cancer.

The incidence of colon cancer has been rising for at least the last two decades, when it was the fourth-leading cause of cancer death for both men and women under 50.

Among men and women of all ages, lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death. Prostate cancer is second for men, and breast cancer is second for women. Colorectal cancer is third, overall, for both sexes.

        It’s a stupid question.

There are so many potential causes they could’ve asked about. Instead they went straight to sodomy? Hmmm, I wonder why.

Maybe they enjoy sodomy and they’re worried about it…. Be less judgemental. You’ll be happier.

            It’s not a stupid question.

Anal cancer was not something I’d ever thought about getting from anal sex.

It’s not even bigoted, probably more straight people have anal sex than gay people.

Yep. I am a bisexual man and I was genuinely curious if there could be a link between HPV, which is carried by a large percentage of the population and colon cancer. Given that anal sex is far less taboo today then it was back in the 80’s and 90’s, and given that a lot more people are skipping condoms today than back then (AIDS and all), I wondered if there could be a connection.

Their motivation could be devil’s advocate, sounding alarm bells about how information could be twisted to fit a narrative.

You don’t know that. You’re assuming this person is asking from a place of bigotry.
