This episode was pretty good, but this should really have been a ~25 episode season. I can’t see there not being a cliffhanger next episode, or at least I don’t see a way for the major plot points being resolved.
But this is a finished 127 chapter manga it seems, so I might switch to that if season 2 isn’t anouced real quick.

During the episode I was awaiting for Gabimaru to save the day, but it wasn’t him who did in the end. We’lle probably see her apprentice next episode too then. Has Gabimaru actually gotten kinder since the beginning ? I’m not sure.
I do wonder when of if will we see his wife.
