Full disclosure, this was made because my mod actions aren’t federated to places I’m banned. This account isn’t banned anywhere, so federation shouldn’t be a problem.

Goes without saying, this mod account is only going to be used for moderator actions.

(Also, I’ve created a bug report on github, hopefully this gets fixed soon. https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/4409 )

That would still maintain similar legality. I know a lot of things that host lewd content specifically host there because it’s legal to do so.

Last I checked, .world is hosted in the US, and doesn’t have any actual overseas assets, meaning they’re effectively only under us jurisdiction.

Because this statement of yours was completely wrong.

Answering a direct question with the truth isn’t ‘splitting hairs’ you dingus, the countries are separated by a fucking ocean and have extremely dissimilar history and laws.

Except in all relevant regards to the current topic, both are functionally extremely similar. Nobody worth the oxygen they use agrees with your pedantry.

I just don’t understand why you have so many downvotes and get mocked outside (and inside) your echo chamber.
