What’s the context here?
Microsoft who owns the game Minecraft made a statement that they will not refer their player base to reddit going forward due to their ongoing policy changes around 3rd party apps and the like.
Replace the Reddit snoo with Microsoft’s logo and this would make more sense.
Even then it doesn’t sit right. Why would lemmy die side by side with reddit? Or Microsoft die side by side with lemmy?
The only thing here that make sense is that Microsoft and reddit are not friends, which doesn’t help to deduce that Microsoft is lemmy’s friend
