You can see the stacking of many subsequent color layers in this animation, which explains in much greater detail the way in which I paint by sediment deposition - much better than trying to use words has for me.

I don’t know exactly what something will look like when it’s done, all I can do is “influence” or “encourage” the outcome, with varying degrees of success. I can direct and affect the speed of flow, but I cannot predict where pigment grains will settle.
