In preparation for the presidential visit Thursday, UAW Region 1 headquarters in Warren, Michigan was transformed into a virtual bunker. The building was encircled by heavy-duty municipal dump trucks filled with road salt to protect the president from attack. Secret Service agents, Michigan state police and local cops from Warren and nearby Centerline blocked all streets leading to the UAW hall and kept protesters hundreds of feet away.

New Settlers chapter just dropped.

And while those cops are outside beating anti-fascists (including union members):

UAW President Shawn Fain and the rest of the union leadership endorsed Biden’s reelection

Absolutely fucking SHAME on you, “union leadership”. Leading where, you absolute fucking fascist-apologetic scum? No fellow workers of mine!

UAW calling for a general strike in 2028 was such an obvious “we promise not to be a nuisance during your second term, mr president” in exchange for a small win.

Remember how liberals wanted to keep talking about how the leadership had ‘graciously accepted’ Biden’s offerings, and that what he did to the rail strikers DIDN’T make Biden a strike-breaking rat specifically for that fact and I kept saying ‘fuck those state stoolies lemme hear it from the rank-and-file instead’? And now Fain’s got rank-and-file out there counter-protesting him? I’m starting to feel hella vindicated about that stance.

Absolutely. I was 100% there with you the whole time.

The only time we HAD heard from the rank-and-file is when they had voted to reject the earlier deals and go on strike. That’s the mandate you have to go with until proven otherwise.
