If we flog west ham in a week we’re looking quite good if I do say so myself. Obviously it’s in City’s and Liverpool’s hands at the moment whether we have a chance at the title but we have to put ourselves in the best place possible. I really believe Everton and Brentford both have a very good chance to frustrate City this week.
We’re only three points behind City if they win both games in hand, so with a trip to the Etihad ahead of us, it’s not “in their hands” like it is in Liverpool’s. If Liverpool wins out there’s, obviously nothing we can do, but our win against them showed they can have bad nights out, and will have them again.
What I meant was, both of those teams can win out and we would be shit out of luck. Even if we win our game against city and win every other game it’ll go down to goal difference which, sure, we can win on goal difference but I really wouldn’t call that being in our power.
100% though all three of these teams are fallible and I’m much more optimistic than I might have come across in my previous comment. I think last year and the year before that have really shored us up mentality wise and we have players coming back from injury in the next four weeks who will see us through to the end. We’re on a really good trajectory, and I firmly believe.
I feel you, it’s easy to see the other teams as easily picking up the points while we barely scrape by.
If either does go on an incredible unbeaten run then yeah there’s not much we can realistically complain about. Oh boo hoo we didn’t string 15 wins in a row. But that’s why Arteta literally says in every press conference you take it a game at a time and only focus on what’s ahead of you, and I think it’s good advice for fans too. Better advice actually since we can’t actually do anything haha
Yep, agreed!! I think we can go the distance and the good news is we have champions league games to look forward to as well. At the end of the day I’m just happy as long as we are playing good football. there are fans of clubs that don’t win trophies for decades, it’s not a reason to not back your team and we’ve got to have faith that our time will come again.
