I know it set some sifi benchmarks and introduced ideas , concepts when it was released . But is it worth watching now as we have more films better or not with same concepts ? Does it still hold up ? Does it have any plot holes ? Is the story good ? How is the pacing ? What about the characters are they fleshed out ? All in all a spoiler free review or the answer to these questions will be appreciated .

EDIT : How does the sequels hold up and can 2001 stand alone ?

      Yes, that’s my alt, I wanted to give a try to an instance without downvotes for a while. That’s the reason I created this account, and this is why I was curious about you creating a new one, usually there are interesting reasons behind those changes
