I’m a bit too tired and tipsy to fully wrap my head around this but I’m just as furious as you are!

I’m living here and you are absolutely correct. Public transit is good. Most streets are 50 km/h. Some are 30 but that is oftentimes not enforced.
Several studies have shown that a speed limit of 30 km/h can massively reduce the number and severity of accidents. But as Germans we hate the idea of slowing down for other road users. We bought those shiny non electric cars and we want to blast through the city, god damnit!
After almost finishing part 2 I’m interested in how the story continues. But I’m happy to wait until they drop the price to a reasonable amount (< 15 €), even if that time may never come.
Freud got it wrong with Penisneid. What if it is not about body parts but about chromosomes? I am calling it Genneid.

Those pesky poor people are not only lazy, they also ruin the economy by spending so little!!
Even more so if you’re a (bio) male: you only get a measly Y chromosome from you father while your mother provides you with a mighty X chromosome.

Edit:
Forgot to mention one of my favorite gaming moments from over 10 years ago: Organizing a LAN party with friends, some of them not gamers. They had a great time as well. One came with a Mac and didn’t. We shared and made it work.

Yes, wind is not always shining and the sun is not always in the sky but there are ways to store the produced energy.
Bademantel@lemmy.worldto Europe@feddit.org•EU urges China to loosen rare earth curbs as carmakers near crisis pointEnglish121·1 month agoSadly, politicians across Europe spent decades catering to car manufacturers, treating them as untouchable moneymakers. The industry in turn grew lazy and saw no reason to innovate. We’re stuck with outdated combustion engine cars that hardly anyone wants. While European companies were asleep, China moved ahead and built up its own electric car industry. Now Europe finds itself needing rare earths and has to hope that cooperation still outweighs competition.
Not OP but in addition to the water consumption you already mentioned, flooded rice fields also produce a lot of methane due to the oxygen-free conditions at the bottom and the abundance of organic material.
This could be mitigated if fields would be drained periodically.
