I’m not an American but the Marshall plan post WW2 is probably the most successful diplomatic and foreign investment program in history. It cemented us allies and deptors for decades. I doubt this 35000 jobs lost in Jordan will have the effect of 35000 American jobs being created nor do I think it will directly improve the lives of any Americans. I also think this makes room for other foreign interests to be established in Jordan, some of which may be geopolitical adversaries to the US such as China.

Personally I think this is a good thing because fuck the usa I’m still mad that they couped my countries (Australia) elected leader. But I am sympathetic to the hardships sure to arise because of this in Jordan.

Hi, I have some questions about this. I’m interested in storing movies and tv shows on Blu ray discs. If I burn video formats onto discs how hard is it to get those to play back on various different Blu ray players. I imagine it’s simple when it’s connected to a PC but what about through typical Blu ray players you might plug into your tv or a gaming console like a PS4?

Sure that’s fair I’d argue a classist view is more suitable than a gendered one. Regardless, I’m talking more about within progressive circles. If you want the support of people not in your specific circumstances or ‘group,’ you need to support them in facing their issues. Some of the issues young men are facing are loneliness, feelings of worthlessness (not being able to provide) and social exclusion. You may personally think these are not issues, but young men very much do. By not supporting them in their causes you make it much harder to convince them to support you in yours. I think a suitable analogy can be found in the LGBT community. Gay people who aren’t trans support trans people and their issues while trans people who aren’t gay support gay people and their issues. The unity between these groups strengthens the overall movement.

If you don’t let white men have a space at the table they’ll make their own and they won’t let anyone else sit with them, just saying.
