I read this different, that book is a lie and the player should know this. A fantasy inside a fantasy. It’s kind of dumb but it makes a you feel a little weird when the characters are inspired by it, which I think is intentional some even question the idealistic nature of it, saying thats not how shit works in reality.
I haven’t finished the game and I’m not saying it’s a communist piece of work or anything but I don’t think you’re supposed to take the book at face value. The antagonist even gets enamoured by its idealism.
