That they do actually hit each other and can’t rely on magic camera shots? So if one of them doesn’t do it correctly or the right way they both are in physical danger? They still connect when the stomp their foot for punch effect, they person absorbs it and plays along. Its not “fake” but it is.

Because if not, you are the one that needs the news……

Do people seriously think every scene is magic camera angles? Stunt people know how to take blows and absorb them, it’s because it’s required for realism in some movies. Not every movie can get away with cheap camera tricks that are painfully obvious and break immersion.

You can do real hits while stunt fighting, lots of these modern movies look terrible because you can tell the punch is a foot away.

If you’ve got armor and are meant to take a hit as part of the scene instead of a miss, don’t be bitchy when the person hits you like they are supposed to.

It’s irresponsible to not give it your all, because if that what the person is expecting and you don’t do it… injuries happen.

Wrestling is so popular because it’s real stunt fighting, not this “camera magic” bullshit they try to peddle as real, but makes it look fake.

  • It becomes genetic when you bring race into it “miss” “Japanese/japan” “Ukraine/ukrainian” they also have to show knowledge of their culture, race, language, etc. the beauty is a tiny fraction of it. But let’s make it the largest part of our argument….

But hey, apparently I’m the myopic one….

Call it the beauty pageant of Japan if you don’t want to bring anything but beauty into it… not up to them, do it yourself if you want to put your culture on them.
