Now im reminded of the guys I met at a student association party (for a student association which had an active boardgaming club) who didn’t want to tell me about the boardgame they were developing because I needed to sign an NDA first, and they had no papers with them, and they wanted to see if they could patent the ideas. Such a weird moment to be introduced to people because they are actively trying to develop a board game, and I also liked board games for them to go ‘its all a secret’. Can’t recall if I laughed in their faces (as well, from what I heard from reading about board game development, NDAs like this were unheard of, same with patents, and nobody is going to steal your idea (and you will not make much money on it)). I didn’t even get the genre. (And like I would steal their ideas, I have my own unfinished ideas thank you very much).
Yeah that “they can just input bs” has always been the whole issue with those whole logging bit on the blockchain stuff. Esp considering the costs and risk of implementing a thing like this and the low costs of normal existing logging I dont see how this could ever become mainstream viable. (And that is ignoring the ease of use).
I dont judge people for the programming languages they are into, even if they are foolish enough to pick a horrible functional programming language. The madmen.

Re being a transhumanists: Well that is why I personally dont like the term tescreal, as I do think there can be good transhumanists out there. The hot swappable furry sex organ transhumanists vs the I just want to code javascript faster transhumanists. (Meant as strawman of both, but Id prefer the first, esp as they are more likely to go the ‘it should be available to all of us or none of us’ route).
Personally I dont think I would mind living forever (or untill Im tired of it) given everyone gets the choice we stay healthy and have free stuff for example. But that will not happen under the Muskians/Rationalists/etc. (im remembering the moment I discovered one of the H+ people was spouting anti trans lines for example, they just want to personally live forever and fuck everyone else it seems).
