True, twitter has been a slow burn. Meanwhile, reddit gave themselves a countdown clock
I’m certainly walking away for the most part, hopefully lemmy can become my daily scroller. That said though, I’ll definitely get on reddit again at some point. Its just too useful of a resource to never touch again. If I need some question answered and only reddit has it, I’m not gonna pass on it just to make a point that primarily hurts me. Other than that though, my primary reddit usage died with Apollo
I’ve been using wefwef too, and its been working good so far. Its a little slow but I think thats more from the huge increase in traffic rather than an inherent problem with it
Yeah Elon is an idiot, but its hard to believe someone could burn Twitter to the ground this fast unintentionally
I had always sort of known about since I was a big fantasy fan, but I didn’t know too much. Then about 6 years ago while looking for good podcasts, I also stumbled upon The Adventure Zone. Instantly I was hooked and went down the rabbit hole of CR Campaign 1 and soon knew I had to play for myself. I had an in person game first with a couple friends but that quickly fell apart because no one could meet regularly. But I knew that there had to be some way to do it online so I just googled “play dnd online”. First I got the MMO but Roll20 was pretty high in the results. It was exactly what I was looking for and have since joined multiple campaigns that have lasted years!
I knew the protests weren’t gonna do anything the moment they gave it a time limit at the very beginning. Shit like that makes it seem like they wanted the protest to fail

Anyone who did should go buy a lotto ticket ASAP
I hardly ever commented on Reddit posts but I feel like for this to work we all need to actively try to engage with the platform, so I’ll be trying my best lol

Twitter and Reddit both dying at the same time was not what I expected in 2023
Thank you for sharing, they seem really sweet
