I was so salty about DA2 when it came out as someone who loved Origins. I hated the forced protagonist and I hated that it wasn’t turn based. The game itself was so drastically different from Origins that I wish they had just released it as a spinoff set in the same world rather than as a direct sequel to Origins.

I don’t give a shit now, but I’ve still never played DA2 outside of that demo they released before it came out.

BG3 was the dragon age origins sequel I wanted. I didn’t know it at the time, but I just really like CRPGs with solid story telling that let’s me make decisions that at least feel like I’m directly effecting the plot.

As someone who was already only mostly playing single player games, the transition from Windows to Linux was so easy. All my games just work. The only multiplayer game I fuck with anymore is Battlebit Remastered, and that works great.

Since my style of learning is “jump in and figure it out as you go” (impulsive idiot), I’ve been very impressed with how much has just worked.

I’ve been afraid to recommend my set up to friends though because I don’t want to be their troubleshooter.
