Recent graduates seeking employment in their field of study should always have their department chair write a recommendation. Having other professors write recommendations helps as well.

Moderators are not just having their account banned, they are having their IP and email addresses scanned by the admin team to permaban them for life.
I remember Digg saying the same thing.
