  • Yup.

    1. They sell these tools by saying they’ll make the jobs of graphic designers/artists (and others) easier,

    2. realise they’re now paying for that worker AND an AI subscription and fire the former because neoliberal business economics is terminally short-sighted,

    3. they realise that quality has plummetted for a marginal increase in productivity at best.

    4. Quietly reopen the job post and maybe save some money by offering a shittier salary

  • It isnt registered legally. Corbyn was recently a speaker at the Durham Miner’s Gala and didn’t utter a word about it. Oh, and it already has wreckers leaking messages to the press.

Corbs is apparently pissed off at Zarah Sultana for announcing it and was telling her to take the post down. Also seems to he pissed off that Zarah said shit about it being a co-leader syatem when he hasn’t agreed to it. Depending on who you ask it’s either coz Corbyn doesn’t like co-leader systems or coz he wants to run the show himself.

I’m gonna vote for anything that isnt fash anyway, but I think this stuff is too early to call because there’s a lot of ratfucking and liberalism that will need to be addressed. The insistence on forming a party against the Greens seems like a big risk too. Our FPTP system is so fucked that they’ll need well over half the vote to have a good chance at forming a cohesive govt. And even then, I’m not sure if the ratfucking would stop.

  • It’s not just him implicated in the failures of October 7 2023, nor the disastrous war in Gaza and Lebanon that has turned thousands of Israeli soldiers into fertilizer, let alone those permanently disabled who live to tell the stories of incompetence across the whole system. And that was before they tried to fix it with “just one more war” with their only peer rival in West Asia.

Katz, Smoritch, Gvir, Levi, and the rest who I needn’t bring their ghoulish names to my consciousness: They are more afraid than ever. They feel a noose, imagined or otherwise, tightening as each escalation and maneuvre leaves them 30 seconds to midnight.

They’re making mistakes, they’re exposing strategic weaknesses, and they’re relying on luck to survive this crisis. But they have to be lucky every day; the resistance axis only has to be lucky once.

  • Bonus info for UK comrades who wanna do the same:

    Flexible Working Request

    Pros and Cons

    ✅ Anyone can request

✅ Usually a fast process (max 2 mo.)

✅ Well documented list of reasons employer could deny

✅ Can request other forms of working adjustments (ie. adjusting shifts to account for school run)

✅ Don’t need much “evidence”. I’ve been advised to use feeling language in my meeting as employer cannot deny this. YMMV

❎ Easier for employer to deny

❎ Can only make 2 requests per year

❎ Scoped to changes of where and when you work, generally.

    Reasonable Adjustments

    Pros and Cons

✅ Very hard for employer to reject legally

✅ Can request a wider range of adjustments, such as equipment, software, accessible access to premises.

✅ Lots of unions have experienced reps who can guide you through the process.

✅ Employers dont want to go through this process. It’s lots of effort and even costly to fight so you may find them happy to agree early on.

✅ Escalation routes. You can take a belligerent employer to tribunal should they give you trouble or refuse your requests. This isn’t ideal but your union rep can advise you.

❎ Scoped to disabled people and carers as defined in the Equality Act 2010. Mental health and sexual characteristics (ie. trans) may be considered on certain issues too, though.

❎ Can be expensive. My colleague’s wife had to go private for the necessary notes and cost her hundreds.

❎ More complex. You need lots of evidence, and that means more time and stress. However, union reps can guide you through this and know the law.

!!! I AM NOT A UNION REP. I AM NOT TRAINED IN UNION OR EMPLOYMENT LAW. SEEK UNION ADVICE BEFORE TAKING ACTION !!!

    Which union?

IWW.org.uk has flexible rates (from £1 up depending on income) and accepts workers in any industry, and has a radical anti-capitalist program. You may wish to join a different union instead - Do some research!
