Plasma Wayland session supports Nvidia cards and I don’t see why you just don’t try to reproduce the bug in the Wayland session and leave it when you want…
You just need to logout and login with the Wayland session, maybe with another user…

KDE is a community that uses, contribute to and extend the Qt framework, that is an industry standard, tons of software is developed with it 🙂

Sad to see the peculiar cursor shape that Plasma had since KDE4 days with Oxygen style changed for the sake of change.
