@steinbring It will be a couple years before all of the automakers which are adopting NACS will have those models out, so there is time to transition. My guess is any older EV models with older connectors will need NACS adapters as stations are gradually migrated to NACS.
Next I hope that more stations are built and start to include a convenience store with a coffee shop since people could be there a while. It could be like a lounge.
@steinbring How has ridership been on the light rail in Milwaukee? It was not done when I moved away.
@tintory This better just be the start. These workers should understand there won’t be as many jobs in building EVs and making batteries or maintenance at dealerships. Instead there will be new jobs in building and maintening solar farms and charging stations all over the country. States should be running job retraining programs to prepare the workforce. Becoming a skilled electrician will make a very good career. Buildings and homes are also being converted to use electricity more and oil products less. It is better to start sooner than later.
@MicroWave @steinbring We should not increase their pay. Instead we should simply provide housing connected with public transit so members of Congress can cut some of their costs and actually experience what it is like to live this way. They already get great healthcare and access to a fitness center and cafeteria.
