  • I mean could one argue the same thing about Chinese conscription? If they paid better do you think that would possibly fix issues they have?

You mentioned something about something about CCP being unpopular in China? But even if they’re unpopular if they pay well wouldn’t people still do it if it’s an option?

    Edit:

Regardless thank you for having an actual conversation with me about this instead of making major assumptions based on the instance I’m on 🤙

  • I really appreciate this extra context.

You’re right. The Safeway Union fought hard for the gains that they did get and we should be proud that they were able to extract any concessions in the Imperial core.

It sucks they didn’t get better than what they did get but the fact they were able to extract anything is better than most workers in the United States get anyway.

I really appreciate you highlighting the specific points of where they were trying to twist and hide things. That’ll make it a lot easier for me and hopefully others to identify these type of things in the future.

  • Man it feels like this article could have been written about the United States itself.

The conscription stuff is kind of unique except that multiple countries in NATO also use conscription so 🤷

This feels like it’s straight up came from an article about the United States military:

For idealistic youth once drawn by patriotic fervour, the realization is sobering: they are entering not a dignified profession, but an institution hollowed out by greed and favouritism.

Veterans’ post-service struggles only deepen the discontent. Many return to civilian life underemployed, disillusioned, and ignored.

Aren’t these also major major problems in European militaries?

  • That’s a very interesting viewpoint.

I thought this type of publication would have a lot of Trust behind it because it’s supposedly focuses on worker rights And it’s supposed to be anti-capitalist in nature.

We have seen times where unions did work with companies and screwed their constituents out of a good deal. Unions don’t always work for the betterment of everybody since they are susceptible to Elite capture.

  • So why make a comment about voter turnout when voter turnout has never been good in a country where the government does not represent the will of the people.

Good luck trying to get all the apathetic people who have been screwed so so much by the system that won’t help them to vote.

That’s for sure going to be easier than talking to people about the reason why our system sucks and building a new one. 🤙

Yeah there’s like a whole documentary about this on YouTube. They even interview this person.

It was really fascinating but as noted in the Wikipedia article it’s not really accepted in any modern publication nowadays so it’s all been but retired

  • I’m American dipshit.

I just find your characterization of these Pilots super disrespectful Which is my primary reason for objecting.

There’s a million other explanations other than suicide.

Maybe you should read something other than all Rags whipping everybody up and thinking it’s a pilot suicide and wait and see to what the NTSB actually has to say about this crash since this was a mandated report by ICAO.

Many people thought Air France flight 447 was caused my pilot suicide but it turned out to be caused by a massive amount of confusion through Frozen pito tubes.

It’s entirely too early to be this speculative.
