Both are really fun. Modding is a little more effort but a satisfying result, pre built handhelds do the job just fine and are usually cheaper and easier

I really hope for a Mario Maker 3, they didn’t have much reason for it before but an entirely new 2D Mario game just might be that reason!

Just the sheer fact that they refer to a protest day as a “fun option” tells me all I need to know.
