Ugh yeah the official app for Reddit is so bad… I went from using RIF every time I had any time to spare to maybe opening Reddit once a day for a few minutes.
That seems… Not great.
You could determine which XEPs to support…? Also, the usual benefits of hosting your own services. But neither is really a strong selling point IMHO.
I wasn’t too impressed with Jerboa when I first installed it, but after their latest update, the UI/UX is much improved.

I’ve used a repurposed full size ThinkCentre for several years now; it regularly hits uptimes approaching a year before I inevitably reboot for updates. Stock power supply too!
It’s on it’s second major version of OpenMediaVault; software RAID. Running Plex, file shares, and it used to run Resilio Sync too.
