1 year agoHere admin has even more power, except it is limited to their own instance. So it is more on the user to be prepared. You don’t want to be too attached to your data on a single instance. The instance might be abandoned, down, gone; the admin might go crazy. And the solution isn’t to have the admin be more reasonable. The solution is to hedge your bets on multiple instances and multiple communities.
Well… a bunch of them are shutting down indefinitely. Plus who’s gonna be happy modding for reddit after they see how spez respond to everyone’s concerns?
