Are we to honestly believe that any Joe Schmoe off the streets can just walk right up to the 2nd in line to the Presidency of the United States home and hold her husband hostage and demand God knows what?
Thanks, that explains it.
The other headlines gave me the impression that this was about trying to smear the Pelosi’s reputation by shaming their sex lives, but with this additional context it is clear to me that it is about them exploiting the opportunity to push the narrative of right-wing extremism. It makes sense to me that people would be so invested in setting the record straight.
It is an extreme case because it is such a personal event, but at the same time I do notice the efforts that the democrats make to spread the anti right-wing narrative. It is not entirely implausible, so I would not be quick to disregard someone who questions the official narrative as a ‘conspiracy theorist’.
On the other hand, I also try to imagine the scenario in which the official narrative is true. I do empathize with the decision to try to keep something like this private. I also understand that since this is such a high profile case and used to push a political narrative, people feel rightly entitled to the evidence. I would suggest to at least release the videos of the person breaking into the house, and leave out the more graphic content.
Here is a prime example from Hillary Clinton https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2022/11/hillary-clinton-says-david-depape-member-republican-cult-video/
